Which industry in Oregon has grown explosively in the last ten years, but hasn’t sacrificed quality in the process? That would be the Oregon wine industry. According to the Oregon Wine Board, the number of vineyards in Oregon has doubled since 2005, but 70% of Oregon wineries produce fewer than 5,000 cases a year — in other words, most local winemakers value quality over quantity.
Now is a great time to sample some local wines, because May just so happens to be Oregon Wine month!
